A coed, independent, Episcopal day school in Tampa, Florida, educating students in pre-k through twelfth grade

Student Co-Curriculars

The broad and deep academic curriculum is only the beginning of the student experience at Berkeley Preparatory School. In addition, there are many co-curricular activities for students in all three divisions, from pre-k through twelfth grade, including intellectually stimulating clubs, competitive sports, performance ensembles, leadership groups, and so much more. These opportunities help students grow into well-rounded individuals.

For example:

  • In Upper Division, students can join our nationally ranked Debate Team, sing a cappella, row, and explore beekeeping, robotics, and filmmaking.
  • In Middle Division, students can golf, try hydroponic gardening, and join the Community Service Council.
  • In Lower Division, students can learn Flamenco dancing, judo, improv comedy, and pickleball.

The offerings change slightly from year to year, but take a peek below at some of our recent club options, competitive sports teams, academic honor societies, performance ensembles, and leadership groups. We also encourage students who are passionate about a particular topic or activity that is not listed to start new clubs and groups.

Student Clubs in the News

Fox 13 News visited Berkeley’s Center for Environmental Research and Experiential Sciences (known as CERES) to cover our thriving beekeeping club in Upper Division and the Middle Division’s Buccaneer Bee Company, which produces honey and honey soaps. The “What’s Right With Tampa Bay” segment featured interviews with Tej Allada ’24, a member of the beekeeping club; Dr. Nicole Ackerson, Science Department Chair; and Jonathan Jordan ’08, Seventh Grade Academic Dean and Head Beekeeper.
